Without the support of volunteers we could not provide services and programs to our community’s seniors. Volunteers can volunteer for as little as two hours once a week to several hours each day depending on the program or service. Our volunteers range in ages from 18 to 85. We need you and our Seniors need you! Please contact us at 223.3100 for specific information. Office Volunteers: We rely on volunteers to provide receptionist and basic office duties such as answering the phone, taking messages, preparing mailings, etc. We also need help with data entry for those who are computer savvy. Nail Clinic Volunteers: This service requires a three hour commitment once or twice a month to assist Home Chore Volunteers: Volunteers assist area seniors with chores such as lawn work, shoveling snow, light house cleaning, meal preparation and visiting depending on the individual senior’s need and the interest of the volunteer. Call Donna for more information at 223-3100. EMMCA building and maintenance volunteers: We don’t have a maintenance or yard worker on staff! We need handymen (or women) to make minor repairs, paint, mow the lawn, weed the gardens, etc. On occasion we need electrical or plumbing skills as well. Call Donna for more information. Nutrition Site Volunteers: We serve meals daily between 11:00 – 1:00. We need volunteers to assist with meal service, clean up and a variety of related services. You can volunteer one day a week or five! We also need activity and entertainment volunteers. Do you sing, play a musical instrument, do crafts, lead games? You can volunteer as little as once a month or more often. Contact Vicki for more informationat 223-3100. Adult Day Center: We need volunteers a few hours a week or more to assist with activities, providing care to address individual needs and to help at meal time. Contact Tammy or Alasa for more information Fundraising events: We need volunteers to assist at various fundraising events or to lead the organization of one or two major events a year.
